Kathmandu 1

  1. I just wrote a long comment, then clicked on the image to get a closer look, and my comment disappeared!! So annoying. again...
    Love the hut and the way you have handled colour, especially with the flags being strong colour over the blue sky. My only hesitation is with the white mound... it is not clear what it is. A rock? Hay? I think you need strong paint here as well to match the other painted areas. Even if its pale cream, it should be there.

  2. Also I like the figure, as it shows the relevant size of the building. Very interesting composition. Can you post the photo as well? Maybe I could offer better suggestions if I could see the starting point.

  3. Thanks Shirl. It's not a rock, it's a stunning pagoda, very important to both Hindus and Buddhists. I've been there several times. I'd need to find the photo again, but in the meantime here are a million others.
