Poppies 1

Pastel on 40 x 30 cm. board. I just loved doing this and wanted to go on forever playing with the hues.I prepared the board with dark blue gesso.

    WOW!!! This is beautiful Colin. You have really nailed this. Lots of interesting textures. Having the dark underneath adds a depth, and the bright flowers are just enough contrast. Was it from a photo or life?
